Two Dragons Guesthouse & Restaurant
Tel - 063 965 107 / 012 868 551
Wat Bo, Street 20. Clean rooms with air-con, hot water, cable TV, from $15. Surprisingly good restaurant for American breakfasts and basic Thai-Chinese food. Inexpensive Angkor tours and transportation to other points.

I have stayed at "the legendary Two Dragons" a number of times over the years and eaten at their American/Thai Restaurant more times than I can remember. Very nice staff, good food, comfortable accommodations and a very good chance that you might run into one or more of the old-timers (like myself) who often come back for a meal and just to see who else might be in town.

Shadow of Angkor - 063 964 744
353 Pokambor Avenue, Siem Reap.
One block from the Old Market(Psar Char), and on the river. - close to Pub Street. It is in a French colonial building with a decent Restaurant and bar. I have tried to stay at this guesthouse a number of times because of it's incredibly good location in the Old Market district and next to the river, but they were always full. My fault because I often travel without booking in advance. They do have a second location in a modern building on the other side of the river in the Wat Bo district. Run by a Cambodian family (Seanghour and Davy), very hospitable and friendly family and staff.

Rosy Guesthouse - 063 965 059
Slar Kram Village. next to Siem Reap River
Very popular long running guesthouse with bustling bar, restaurant and large balcony overlooking the Siem Reap river. I have never stayed at this guesthouse but I have eaten quite a few breakfasts and lunches here. A very good place to stop at either on the way to or back from the temples by bicycle. This is an older photograph, so the front of the place looks a bit more modern these days, but the ambience and service is still the same.

Wat Bo Road, Street 20
European Guesthouse is a cosy, clean and affordable guesthouse located in the backpackers' heart of Siem Reap. I had an apartment across the road from them for a number of years so know that it is fairly popular, so probably a good value.
